YouTube vs. Vimeo; No Social Media at Ryder Cup?

social-brand-chat

This week on Social Brand Chat presented by KXIC we discussed a question from Ann McGlynn of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, “YouTube vs. Vimeo — which network is better for video marketing?” Videos are one of the most engaging forms of online content but which tool makes the most sense? Let’s chat about this.

Another gray area when it comes to social media! While some users enjoy the better video quality and customized features of Vimeo, it’s hard to ignore the SEO impact you can achieve when adding your content to the world’s second largest search engine after Google — YouTube. A happy medium? Do like we do at Brand Driven Digital and embed the higher quality Vimeo video but take a few extra minutes and post it on YouTube for SEO mojo as well.

For this week’s social media news we talked about the oddly stringent social media guidelines being imposed on this year’s Ryder Cup. What do you think about this?
