Can You Measure Blogging ROI?

social-brand-chat

This week on Social Brand Chat presented by KXIC we discussed a question via Twitter from Mike Gerholdt: “Can I equate my blogging efforts to sales to show ROI?” This is a question many bloggers grapple with. Both business blogs and personal blogs are interested in measuring what they’re getting out of their hard work. Let’s chat about blogging ROI.

This week I was once again joined by our Director of Social Strategy Macy Koch for a special holiday week edition of the show. Mike’s question about blogging ROI is one that haunts many bloggers. The good news is it doesn’t have to. We discussed how to tie sales to blogging efforts as well as other social business objectives you can use to demonstrate how your blogging efforts move the needle for your organization.

For this week’s social media news, we discussed — wait for it — blogging! With the New Year upon us, there’s no shortage of list posts rounding up the latest trends. Mashable took a look at the top 10 things people wanted to learn more about and discovered that blogging was fourth on the list. What do you think?
