This week on Social Brand Chat presented by KXIC we discussed the recent mid-term elections and the role that Facebook may be playing in influencing the outcome. We also took a question from Kayla Plante via LinkedIn, who asked, “Can you share best practices on social media advocacy and employee education?” Let’s chat about all of this.
When it comes to best practices for employee education and advocacy on social media, the first place to start is internal communication. Your employees have the potential to be your best brand ambassadors. But that’s only if they know what you want them to do and are empowered to do so. Do you want them to like and share your posts? Do you want them to create content? Start by telling them.
For this week’s social media news we talked about the recent mid-term elections and how Facebook could be playing a role in influencing the outcome with their election-day mainstay, the “I’m Voter” button. Robinson Meyer broke things down pretty powerfully in his story on The Atlantic.
